Hello everyone. It has been an interesting journey with the PNI Institute these past six years. I have been thinking a lot about the future of the PNI Institute. I started a survey in October to ask people what they thought we should do next. From those responses, from talking to people, and from thinking a lot, I have come to a decision.

First, I have started a new discussion group called the Participatory Narrative Practitioner Network (PNpn). Its focus includes PNI but goes beyond PNI to all aspects of, and approaches to, participatory narrative (story) work. I have written a blog post about the new group and the ideas behind it.

Second, the PNI Institute is closing its doors. As of today, we will schedule no more events. We will leave this web site up for a while for archival purposes. Eventually, when I have time, I will package up the old notes from our Zoom calls into some kind of readable archive and redirect pni2.org to a static page.

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has been involved with the PNI Institute over the past six years, especially those who have joined our monthly Zoom calls. You have kept the group going. If you still want to talk about about participatory narrative, please join us in the new group, and we’ll keep talking — with a broader focus and with new energy.
